Schinia-Marathonas National Park
A breath away from the center of Athens is the ideal destination for a break to enjoy the sea. The reason is the Schinia National Park in Marathona. There you will find a long sandy beach, calm shallow waters and you will feel that you are far from Athens, when actually you are not. The settlement of Agios Ioannis Theologos is a tourist resort in a cove on the coast of Opundios Bay, a short distance from the village of Malesina in Fthiotida. It is also an ideal destination for a day excursion. Its name belongs to the small church of St. John the Theologian and its history is long, since next to it are the ruins of the ancient city of Alys, most of the ruins lie on the beach and the sea, houses and tombs, demonstrating that earthquakes were the cause of its destruction. The main beach is located along the coastal road. It is long in length but narrow in width. It has fine sand and the waters are cold and clean.

Parnitha has a rich network of trails, and offers many opportunities for activities and hides several surprises. On its eastern slopes, at an altitude of 600 meters, there is a small artificial lake that many do not know.
