Votsala beach is for those who prefer amenities and being close to town
Votsala is the 1km long pebbly beach located after the west end of Paleochora harbor, 79km south of Chania. Votsala and Pahia Ammos are the two beaches next to Paleohora town. Votsala is less organized and less popular than the sandy beach of Pachia Ammos.
Stay in picturesque Paleochora nearby in Votsala Beach
The beach is preferred by those who want to be close to town and enjoy amenities such as umbrellas, sun beds, as well as taverns for a nice lunch after diving and sunbathing. Votsala beach is located near the road that connects it with Kountoura, the coast near the area with the greenhouses. If you do not like pebbles, you can swim on the sandy Pachia Ammos located on the western side of the village. Next to Votsala, there is another beach called Keratides, where you can go for camping.
