Clear waters peace and quiet next to Athens
It often happens that it’s Sunday morning and while you’ve prepared a beach bag, umbrella and all that, you don’t know which way to move. You don’t want it to be too far away for both things, time and fuel savings, as you go on your one-day excursion and you want to enjoy it to the fullest. And the truth is that Attica offers large and small sandy beaches for all tastes. Whether you want ,organized or without amenities, with sand or pebbles, with shallow or wild watersI’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for. In various secret corners of Attica, there are beaches that are still wonderful and they are not particularly well known. In this category belongs the beach Of Asimaki in Attica which is literally a diamond.
Asimaki, the <pure> beach in Attica
So one of your next Sunday choices is the beach of Asimaki which we tried and we recommend. It is a sandy beach with calm and clear waters. Ideal if you go with the family for the waters are shallow. The scenery is complemented by the green surroundings and the palm trees at the beginning of the sandy beach. The palm trees , in fact, you can use them loosely for shade. If, now, you have your equipment with you (umbrella and all that) you find the corner you like – we prefer the ends of the beach – and you can relax.
Asimaki beach is what we call a <pure> beach. It is known to the locals but not to most Athenians. So yes, you’ll see people when you go, but you’ll be able to find a place to sit comfortably. In addition the size of the beach is such that many indulge in beach volleyball and racquetball.
In general, Asimaki is a beach for all tastes as we say. You will see groups, couples, families and even lonely excursionists enjoying their swim. You’ll enjoy the sun and the sea.
